HERO

Repping Toronto and Edmonton by way of Brooklyn, NY, Edot and Darp Malone were easily the biggest draw at the Gladstone this night. Accompanied by DJ Taktiks, a trio of singers, and guest MC Loer Velocity, HERO saved the showcase with a smooth set of soulful hip-hop from their self-titled debut album. Hit song "Mogadishu” went over best, while Loer Velocity stood out most with his occasional verses. While it was a tight set, the HERO sound could really do with a live band component to take it to the next level.
