Here's What Childish Gambino Rapping over the 'Stranger Things' Theme Sounds Like

BY Calum SlingerlandPublished Oct 20, 2016

Notables from the music world such as deadmau5 and Wiz Khalifa have recently found a place for the music of the wildly popular Netflix show Stranger Things in their own work, but the latest series-related musical creation to grip the Internet may be straight from the Upside Down.

SoundCloud user kmlkmljkl has taken the vocal track from Childish Gambino's "Bonfire" and lined it up alongside S U R V I V E members Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein's synth-heavy Stranger Things theme, making for a mashup that sounds better than one might initially think.

As previously reported, Volume 1 and Volume 2 of the show's soundtrack are both currently available digitally. The first volume is also available on CD, with a vinyl pressing arriving October 28 via Lakeshore Records in North America and Invada in the UK. The second volume will see a North American CD release that same day, followed by vinyl pressings on November 18. A vinyl box set collecting both volumes is also reportedly in the works.

Also, as reported earlier today (October 20), S U R V I V E's self-titled debut album is getting reissued on November 18 courtesy of Holodeck Records. You can get further details on that here.

For now, hear the worlds of Childish Gambino, S U R V I V E and Stranger Things collide in the player below.
