Here's the Cast of 'Succession' Singing Weezer for Some Reason

Dear daddy, I write you in spite of years of silence

Succession fans have had a lot to say about the end of the show this past week — but instead of being sad about the end of the beloved family dramedy, the cast appear to be busy having drunken Weezer singalongs.

A short video of the cast hollering their way through an acoustic version of "Say It Ain't So" has made its way onto the internet. In the half-minute-long clip, a large group of cast members — including stars Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin and Sarah Snook — can be seen singing along. The many beer bottles and wine glasses laid out on the table perhaps explains their slightly raucous enthusiasm.

A few cast members don't seem to know all the words, since there are a few people simply singing "da-da-da" — but Snook appears to have the lyrics down pat, while Culkin gives his all to the climactic "yeah!" that leads into the guitar solo.

"Say It Ain't So" is a very fitting choice for the Succession actors, given how both the show and the song concern a strained paternal relationship. Appropriately, the clip shows the cast members singing the song's bridge — y'know, the bit with "Dear daddy / I write you / In spite of years of silence."
