If you've been itching to know who would be replacing drummer Janet Weiss in Sleater-Kinney, we now seem to have our answer. Last night (September 5), the band played their first show since Weiss left the band, and their new drummer was revealed to be Angie Boylan.
For the unfamiliar, Boylan has played with the likes of Freezing Cold, Aye Nako, Little Lungs and Cheeky, and she joined Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker during Sleater-Kinney's set at the Hopscotch festival in Raleigh, NC.
At this point, it's hard to say whether Boylan will become a permanent fixture in Sleater-Kinney, but you can watch some fan-captured footage from last night below [via Brooklyn Vegan].
The St. Vincent-produced The Center Won't Hold is out now via Mom + Pop. You can see Sleater-Kinney's upcoming North American tour dates, which may feature Boylan, over here.
