Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Haviah Mighty, Valley, Islands

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Jun 11, 2021

If you can tear yourself away from the new Lorde track, we've got your weekly dose of new tunes from another commonwealth country you might be familiar with. (But seriously, how do we get an invite to one of her beach parties/cult meetings?)

Speaking of the beach, there's a new record from Islands out today! Other notable new album releases this week come from Oshawa's Dizzy, as well as Toronto's Liza and Cloudsteppers. Also leading the crop, we have the powerful new "Protest" anthem from Haviah Mighty and a convincing argument to reject "SOCIETY" and embrace Valley.

The collaborative energy continues: hear Big Wreck team up with Nickelback's Chad Kroeger, K.Flay with Travis Barker, and a l l i e with Birthday Boy, among others. We also have NorthSideBenji's cut for the 6ixbuzz Canada's Most Wanted compilation album.

Lots to buzz about indeed. Get dialled in with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
