Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Spiritbox, Keys N Krates, Softcult, Luna Elle

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Nov 10, 2023

With the announcement of this year's JUNOS performers and the just-released list of Grammy nominations, this week has us looking ahead to awards season. But why don't we kick things off early and give these certified tasty new Canadian tracks their flowers?

In the not-on-our-bingo-card collab of the year, Spiritbox channel their inner hotties to team up with Megan Thee Stallion on a rock remix of her venomous "Cobra," while misogynist crushers Softcult return with "Haunt You Still." Meanwhile, Shaq's fave Luna Elle emerges dripping in sophistication on new EP Ms. Elle.

This week in album releases, Keys N Krates subvert tropes on IN:TENSION. There are also new LPs to dig into from Tafari Anthony, Kirsten Ludwig, MOONRIIVR and the James Clark Institute.

Elsewhere, Jonah Yano makes our Staff Picks recommendations with "concentrate," Ellis is back "forever," and Marci can't "Stop" delivering bops. Mac DeMarco finally shared Some Other Ones widely, and Moonshine make their debut on Aluna's new label, while Spencer Burton says "Goodbye" and Alan Doyle says "Welcome Home."

Find those and several more trophy worthy-treasures with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
