Habitat

BY Michael BarclayPublished Mar 6, 2007

One cute couple, two cheap synths, four shows under their belt, five original songs, it might not sound promising on paper but Sylvie Smith and John O’Regan have charisma to burn and songwriting skills that supersede any limitations, self-imposed or otherwise. Outside of their day jobs in the Barmitzvah Brothers and rising stars the D’Urbervilles, Habitat’s odes to domesticity and a sly, sinister Bryan Adams/Spice Girl cover are delivered with a carefree ease. Expect great things.
