Gordon Lightfoot Announces Massey Hall Shows in Toronto

The back-to-back performances will mark the final concerts before the venue closes for a two-year renovation

Gordon Lightfoot will return to the storied stage of Massey Hall for a pair of performances next summer. He'll play on June 29 and June 30.

The back-to-back shows will be the final events at the iconic Toronto venue before it closes for a two-year renovation period, as part of the seven-year Massey Hall Revitalization project.

Lightfoot seems a fitting performer to close out the venue temporarily — he's played onstage at Massey Hall more than 166 times during his illustrious career. Unsurprisingly, that makes him the reigning record-holder for most performances at the venue by an individual artist.

"Massey Hall is home," Lightfoot said in a statement. "These shows are a constant fixture for me. They anchor me, and we are glad to have been invited to be a part of its history."

Tickets for the June 29 and June 30 concerts go on sale to the general public this Friday (December 8). They will range from $32.50 to $119.50 and will be available online, via phone or through the Roy Thomson Hall Box Office. Find full details here.
