Apparently even convicted con artists should never give up on their dreams, since Billy McFarland has revealed more details about Fyre Festival II that makes it seem like it's actually happening.
After selling out the first 100 tickets for $499 USD last year, gullible rich people waiting for the next batch of inflated tickets will at least know when and where they'll be served sad cheese sandwiches — sort of. The Fyre Fest II website vaguely lists its location as "a private island off the Caribbean coast in Mexico," and McFarland told NBC News that it'll take place April 25–28, 2025.
Now that such detailed information has been revealed, the cheapest ticket price has soared to $1,400 USD, with the most expensive ticket costing a very chill $1.1 million. But don't fret! There will actually be hotels and villas this time, and the higher-end tickets will supposedly include luxury yachts, transportation and scuba diving.
When going through the motions on the Fyre Fest II website, it becomes clear that the tickets for the 3,000-capacity festival are only available through application. The questionnaire asks for pressing details, including your email, phone number and Instagram account. It even has a section to tell the fest "anything else" they need to know so you can tell them just how important you are.
Despite McFarland's boasting, there still hasn't been a single act booked for Fyre Fest II, which is a great sign. They could probably get Ja Rule to headline, worst-case scenario.
McFarland was supposed to be released from prison this year for wire fraud and money laundering charges related to the 2017 Fyre Festival disaster, but was let out early in 2022.
