Future shocked the hip-hop world with the release of a self-titled album last week, and since that apparently wasn't enough, the Atlanta rap icon has now delivered a second effort in HNDRXX for his legions of listeners.
As previously reported, the 17-track effort arrives through A1/Freebandz/Epic. Unlike its companion disc, HNDRXX features some additional star power in boasting two contributions from the Weeknd and Rihanna.
In an interview with Zane Lowe, Future called HNDRXX "more personal" than its companion, even going so far as to say it's more honest than his 2014 crossover effort Honest. An earlier statement saw the rapper call the disc "the album I always wanted to make."
One wouldn't be wrong to expect tracks from both FUTURE and HNDRXX to be performed on the rapper's upcoming tour, which will feature support from Migos, Tory Lanez, Kodak Black, A$AP Ferg and Young Thug. You can read up on the run of dates here.
The release of FUTURE and HNDRXX mark the rapper's first standalone solo projects since releasing EVOL at the top of 2016. He also appeared on DJ Esco's Project E.T. mixtape and teamed up with Gucci Mane for the mixtape Free Bricks 2 last year. In playing his crossover card more recently, he's also appeared on songs with Maroon 5 and Ariana Grande.
