Odd Future R&B crooner Frank Ocean is reportedly deep into his follow-up to the Grammy-winning Channel Orange LP, but he'll have to revisit those songs in a less than celebratory light before he can move on. After all, he's being sued over the production credits for album track "Lost."
As All Hip Hop reports, producer and songwriter Micah Otano filed a lawsuit against Ocean in United States District Court, Central District of California, on Wednesday (March 6). Otano says he cowrote a song titled "Daylight" with producer Malay, claiming that Malay copied "Daylight," passed it off as "Lost" and took all of the credit for the work when it appeared on Ocean's Channel Orange.
Otano names Ocean, Malay, Island Def Jam and Universal in the suit and is seeking an unspecified amount for back royalties and damages.
