As if the last couple of weeks weren't shaky enough for Public Enemy hype man Flavor Flav, the rapper spent some time in a Las Vegas jail this weekend. When the hip-hop icon was pulled over by a Las Vegas cop on Friday (April 29) for a routine traffic violation, the officer on-duty learned that Flav was a wanted man with a number of outstanding warrants.
According to the police, Flav had four unresolved automobile-related incidents on his record, from driving without proof of insurance to a parking violation to two cases of driving without a licence, and was taken to a nearby jail where he was booked before being released. It's unclear if and when the musician will face a judge over any of the incidents.
This is just one of the rapper's many recent setbacks. Last month, Flav and his business associates were accused of not paying employees of his Iowa-based Flavor Flav's Chicken, a venture that he bowed out of shortly thereafter. His new Las Vegas-based restaurant, Flavor Flav's House of Flavor, is still set to open May 30.
