Finian Greenhall (aka Fink) started his musical life as an ambient beat peddler, but now fancies himself a bit of a bedroom folkie. His set was a subdued, hushed affair, which is expected given the intimate nature of his songs. What was surprising was how good they actually were minor key musings that were accessible without being derivative, bringing to mind José Gonzálezs work. As with many of the performers at CMW, Fink soldiered on gamely despite a largely indifferent audience, whose chattiness sucked much of the ambience out of the performance.
