Field Guide — a.k.a. Winnipeg's Dylan MacDonald — released his self-titled sophomore album last month, and now he's made plans to take the record on the road on a sprawling North American tour that includes multiple stops in Canada.
After a one-off performance at Toronto's STACKT later this month, the full run will commence in February in Regina, making stops along the way in Calgary, Red Deer, Penticton, Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Hamilton, Guelph, St. Catharines, London, Cambridge, Ottawa and Kingston. From there, the tour will head south to the US, where MacDonald will remain through to mid-May. Tickets for the tour are on sale here.
UPDATE (2/9, 10:36 a.m. ET): MacDonald has added performance in Toronto, Peterborough and Winnipeg in March. See the new dates in bold below.
In addition to news of the forthcoming tour, MacDonald has shared a trio of live performance videos. "After a month of solo touring in Europe it was a treat to get the band together to record a live version of 'Worst of Ways' and two new-album staples from my solo set ('For Sure' and 'You Could Be Free') with BnB at No Fun Studios at home in Winnipeg," said MacDonald. "I'm very excited to be hitting the road next year all over Canada and the US for my debut headline tour!"
