Festival of Friends returns to Gage Park in Hamilton from August 4 to 6 for its 47th edition, presented by Tim Hortons.

The festival opens Friday with Toronto's Jeremie Albino and a headlining set from Bahamas, while Saturday features a "Summer in the '70s" theme with performances by the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, '70s fusion band Lighthouse, and reggae icons, the Wailers. The festival concludes Sunday and will feature a country music theme with performances by the Redhill Valleys and Canadian country superstars James Barker Band.

"The '70s were such an innovative time for music, with so many different styles emerging," said Robert Rakoczy, the festival's general manager. "For us to be able to feature the Wailers, the band that brought reggae to the world along with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra and Lighthouse, will be one of the great nights in Hamilton music history. This is a night for Hamilton to come together under the stars and a warm summer breeze."

The free festival has fun for the whole family, including over 125 food and craft vendors, a midway, pony rides and an escape room.
