Over a series of tweets, Burkett explains that he listened to G.L.O.S.S. on Bandcamp, and publicly put out an offer of $12,500 USD to join the Fat team.
The offer was increased to $15,000 USD once a follower pointed out the trans membership/activism of G.L.O.S.S. But Burkett backed off, suggesting even this number was way too low. Instead, he thinks NOFX and G.L.O.S.S. should play a show together.
That's the gist of it, with Burkett also noting that Epitaph had helped NOFX out back in the day with their own record contract. The band recorded with the imprint from the late '80s into the '00s. It was only with the band's 2003 release The War on Errorism that they began issuing full-lengths through Burkett's Fat Wreck Chords.
You'll find Fat Mike's tweets down below. G.L.O.S.S. singer Sadie Switchblade has not commented on the label owner's offer.
Label offers deal! Band turns it down! Gosh! If I had a nickel for every band that turned Fat down... I'd have.. 65¢ https://t.co/Ww5N9pqlAN

I listened to the band on bandcamp, and what the hell... I'll throw my hat in the ring. Dear G.L.O.S.S. How's $12,500 sound to sign to FAT?

If that were true, bands wouldn't sign to labels. NOFX made nothing before we signed to Epitaph. Well, we did suck. https://t.co/Tb7dNSa2ua

That's how I started, but 20,000 is a lot. NOFX sold 800 LP's in a year in 1988. We were stoked! https://t.co/ffaS4socLJ

Is someone trans in the band? Which one? Shit! I should do more research. Ok, $15,000! Fuck it! https://t.co/9FxyLhX9n8

Hey @SadieSwitch666 Check out this: and that was before I knew about the trans thing! https://t.co/bJxWRPe6Ii

Everything else I said was legit. I do like the band, and $15,000 is still way too low! Do over, Hey GLOSS, lets play a show together. :)
