Today, Lamb of God released a new self-titled album — their first without Chris Adler following the drummer's departure from the group last year. However, Adler has wasted no time in sharing new music of his own, with a new band.
Adler has teamed up with bassist James Lomenzo (ex-Megadeth, ex-Black Label Society), guitarist Myrone, and vocalist Girish Pradhan to form new outfit Firstborne.
Today the four-piece have shared a self-titled, debut five-track EP, which you can stream below. Physical editions of the album on vinyl, CD and cassette are now available for pre-order.
As their website explains, "Firstborne is a community. No one is to be excluded. It's a soundtrack for all, meant to be a positive beacon in this dark time."
Adler co-founded Lamb of God in 1994 (then named Burn the Priest) and played drums on each of the band's studio albums. His brother, Willie, remains with the group as a rhythm guitarist. His final album with the band is 2015's VII: Sturm und Drang.
