Entombed

Recorded live during 1992’s legendary, infamous Gods of Grind tour, Monkey Puss shows Entombed when they were a much different beast than their 1999 incarnation. Featuring primarily songs from the Left Hand Path and Clandestine albums, Monkey Puss documents a period in time when Entombed were one of the greatest death metal bands in the business. While containing its share of blemishes, Monkey Puss features all the classics that made them great, performed with a ferocity that more than compensates for the occasional glitch. Seven years later, the style of death that Entombed helped pioneer easily withstands the dreaded test of time and to purists, may be more welcome than either of their last two releases.
