Although rap superstar Eminem has been staying out of trouble lately, it seems that his past is creeping up on him.
A Michigan man named Miad Jarbou has come out of the woodwork, alleging that in July 2006, a bathroom altercation ended with Eminem laying a beating on Jarbou. As a result, Jarbou is seeking $25,000 in damages.
The story goes that on the evening of July 13, 2006, Jarbou was hanging out at Cheetah's on the Strip Gentlemen's Club in Detroit. While Jarbou was going to the bathroom with a friend, Eminem and another man, who is alleged to have been Eminem's bodyguard, came in. Jarbou's friend saw Eminem and said, "Hey, Eminem, what's up man?" The greeting was apparently unwelcome as Jarbou claims the bodyguard responded, "Shut the fuck up, man. Don't say another word." Jarbou says he wasn't happy with the response and remarked, "Hey, man, my friend ain't starting trouble. It's just cool to see Eminem." Jarbou says that Eminem then punched him in the face and left in a hurry.
Although the incident was reported to police in 2006, Eminem was never charged.
