Eminem Reveals 'The Vinyl LPs' Box Set

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Mar 10, 2015

After celebrating the 15th anniversary of Shady Records last year with the Shady XV release, Eminem will now be highlighting his solo work with a new vinyl box set.

Though release details have yet to arrive in full, Em has plans to put out a package called The Vinyl LPs. An Instagram post from the rapper displays a 3D wraparound image of the box art. As you'll see, it features a diptych of the rapper's god-given face on one side of the image, and of him wearing a hockey mask on the other. The Vinyl LPs is scrawled on the spine of the box.

The post doesn't give out the specifics of what all is contained within the box, and the release date is a bit unclear, though the caption says simply "Thursday." An Amazon listing gives the box a March 23 due date, and says that 10 LPs will be housed inside The Vinyl LPs, but all seven of Eminem's studio full-lengths, from 1999's The Slim Shady LP up to 2013's The Marshall Mathers LP 2, have previously been issued as double LPs. For those of you keeping score, that'd make 14 slabs of vinyl all together.

Hopefully the Shady one is standing by with more info on the box before it drops.
