After postponing and rescheduling the "Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour" due to the COVID pandemic, Elton John has finalized his goodbye trek with a fair amount of new dates in late 2022 and a couple in early 2023.
While the Rocketman himself was already scheduled to perform two pairs of shows in Toronto and Montreal in February 2022, he has now added another pair of Canadian dates for later in the year. He'll head back to Toronto for a show at the Rogers Centre on September 7, 2022, and he has added a date at Vancouver's BC Place on October 21, 2022.
"Whether it's next summer in Frankfurt or at the legendary Dodger Stadium for the grand finale in the United States, I can't wait to see you all on the road one last time," John said in an announcement. "This has been an incredible tour so far, full of the most amazing highs, and I look forward to making more wonderful memories with you at these final shows."
He added: "I'm going to go out in the biggest possible way, performing at my very best, with the most spectacular production I've ever had, playing in places that have meant so much to me throughout my career."
The whole affair is set to kick off later this year in Europe, beginning with three dates in Berlin in early September.
