In case you forgot, before he was a Young Money Millionaire, Canadian hip-hop star Drake, was an actor. He may be spitting in stadiums these days, but dude got his first big break playing Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation. Despite his current day job, it looks as if the acting bug has bitten the rapper once again. It's been announced he will be voicing a character in the upcoming fourth instalment of the animated Ice Age film franchise, Ice Age: Continental Drift.
Deadline reports that Drake will be joining a cast that includes Jennifer Lopez and comedians Aziz Ansari and Wanda Sykes, as well as original cast members Ray Romano and Dennis Leary. Though it doesn't get into character specifics, the post explains that Drake will voice the role of Ethan. For the record, Lopez will play a snow leopard named Shira.
A release date has yet to be announced for the film but it is expected to be released in 2012.
