Drake Shares "Summer Sixteen," Sets April Release for 'Views from the 6'

Well, we just got one step closer to Views from the 6 — or at least we hope so. Via tonight's episode of Ovo Sound Radio on Apple Music, Drake has shared his new track "Summer Sixteen," as well as confirmed that his elusive Views from the 6 would be arriving in April.

You can listen to the song here on Apple Music.

We don't know for sure if this will be included on the long-awaited Views from the 6, but we certainly hope it makes the cut. After all, it does include this rather awesome bit of lyrical science: "I used to want to be on Roc-A-Fella, then I turned into Jay / Now I got a house in L.A., now I got a bigger pool than 'Ye / And look man, 'Ye's pool is nice, mine's just bigger is what I'm sayin'."

As far as that loose April release date goes, Drake said on the program: "We're here working overtime on it trying to make it everything I know it should be, and the album itself will be coming in April 2016, so 4/16, you know what's where I'm from. I'll give you a date later on. For now, just know we're working, we're ready for anything."

As many will no doubt notice, 416 also serves as a Toronto area code.
