Drake's 2008 massive free-mix-tape, So Far Gone, created such a buzz for the singer/MC that he opted to release physical copies as an LP. Seven songs deep, half of the release consists of tracks from the original tape and half are new floater tracks. Fan favourite "HoustAtlantaVegas" is an edgy banger that screams repeat-status and "Fear" is the album highlight, with a melodic, raw emotional touch. Singles "Best I Ever Had" and "Successful" have become anthems for 2009 and are both chart-toppers, but they don't become redundant. Content-wise, So Far Gone is impressive, with witty punch lines and honesty. However, the production is what separates So Far Gone from being just good music. Appearances from Lil Wayne and Bun B complete the album, showing Drake can hold his own against world-class MCs. With this teaser being a complete package, critics and fans alike are anxious for his February 2010 debut full-length.
