UK's blackened death/doom metallers Dragged Into Sunlight have returned with their sophomore album, Widowmaker, the full-length follow-up to 2009's Hatred For Mankind. As a special Halloween treat (or trick?), stream the full record in its entirety right here, a week ahead of release.
Clocking in at 40 minutes, Widowmaker features three simply-titled tracks that encompass Dragged Into Sunlight's unique mix of gruelling black metal, death metal, doom and sludge. The record evokes brutal, disturbing images of disparity, as the ominous tones and rhythms of the music are intensely negative, ugly and bleak.
The band have described Widowmaker as "a concept album from beginning to end. It's different yet still leaves the listener thinking whether jumping out a fourth floor window might actually be the best idea they've ever had."
Listen to it for yourself below. Widowmaker is out November 6 via Prosthetic.
