Nicki Minaj proved her power as one of hip-hop's finest yesterday (April 8), sending the internet into a frenzy over the possibility of her next album.
 
The rapper mysteriously tweeted a single-character message that read: "4." She deleted it minutes later.
 
Rather than assuming it was a typo or a butt-tweet (a fair assumption based on her introduction to Snapchat), eager fans interpreted the message to mean that Minaj was teasing her next LP.
 
The arrival of a new album would mark the rapper's fourth studio record, and fans (a.k.a. internet conspiracy theorists) are also suggesting that the tweet signals a four-day countdown. If that's the case, new material or some sort of announcement could be on the way later this week.
 
Her last studio album arrived as The Pinkprint back in 2014, though she's since released cuts with Fergie, Migos and Cardi B, Katy Perry, Future, and Drake and Lil Wayne.
