Dew-Scented

Inwards

BY Greg PrattPublished Mar 1, 2002

While their name suggests bad goth metal, Dew-Scented surprises with some extremely aggressive new school thrash. Not unlike Carnal Forge or the Haunted, Dew-Scented rush in, attack, kill and rush out with nary a wasted moment or riff. Ten songs of extremely well-played thrash are on this album, which is amazingly their fourth. Why we haven't heard of them until now is a mystery, as they utilise razor-sharp riffing, quick change-ups and great playing from all involved to create an early contender for the thrash album of 2002. An excellent production that is heavy but clear also helps the listener warm up to this one. The Haunted finally have some competition, well, almost.
