There might not be another figure in all of heavy music with as much love in his heart as Devin Townsend. When not being delightfully self-deprecating ("Why am I still talking? I have honesty-Tourette's. I have a small penis!") or just plain chatty ("This is my first day wearing these Princess Leia headphones on stage. Do you like them?"), he directs a positively radiant joy outward at the audience.

There was something ecstatically perfect about the Devin Townsend Project beaming out positivity in the form of the song "Grace" while the sun was just beginning to set over Parc Jean-Drapeau, little streaks of pink and orange in the blue. From the stomping, churning energy of "March of the Poozers" to the tongue-in-cheek giddy guiltiness of "Love," there wasn't a moment of this set that wasn't full to bursting with affection.
