De La Soul Premiere Snoop Dogg-featuring "Pain" Single with Interactive Videogame

De La Soul are ramping up to release their first album in more than a decade, but before the And the Anonymous Nobody lands later this summer, the group are giving fans a super fun preview of the new material via a custom videogame.

The band have shared a new single titled "Pain," and you can give it a listen and get to know the lyrics by playing an accompanying online game over at De La Soul's website.

To play, just use the arrow keys to dodge rapidly scrolling lyrics and flying objects. Things get especially tricky when Snoop Dogg jumps on the track for a verse, but the game's avatar seems able to withstand even the most amateur player's lack of digital agility. And regardless of your high score, you get to hear the new tune, so there aren't really any losers here.

Head here to play the game, or for a more traditional listening experience, check out "Pain" in the boring old YouTube player below.

In addition to Snoop's cameo, And the Anonymous Nobody also features guest appearances from Jill Scott, Roc Marciano, Estelle, Pete Rock, Justin Hawkins, David Byrne, Usher, Little Dragon, 2 Chainz and Damon Albarn. It's out on August 26 via A.O.I. Records and Kobalt Label Services.
