"Weird Al" Yankovic will be the subject of a new biopic, Weird: The "Weird Al" Yankovic Story, with Daniel Radcliffe playing the lead role.
Yankovic himself will serve as a writer and producer on the feature-length project. Eric Appel will co-write and direct, as well as executive produce. The film is co-produced by Funny or Die and Tango, and will come out through the Roku Channel.
"When my last movie UHF came out in 1989, I made a solemn vow to my fans that I would release a major motion picture every 33 years, like clockwork. I'm very happy to say we're on schedule," Yankovic said in a statement. "And I am absolutely thrilled that Daniel Radcliffe will be portraying me in the film. I have no doubt whatsoever that this is the role future generations will remember him for."

Interestingly enough, Appel and Funny or Die released a fake trailer for a then-non-existent "Weird Al" biopic in 2013, also titled Weird: The "Weird Al" Yankovic Story. It featured Aaron Paul as Yankovic. Watch that below.
