Converge

Unloved and Weeded Out

BY Paul GreschPublished Mar 1, 2003

Unloved and Weeded Out was originally the title of one of Converge's early seven-inches, fittingly adopted for this record. Combining that now out-of-print seven-inch with a rare compilation track, several obscure vinyl-only tracks, a few demo tracks, and two live offerings, Unloved and Weeded Out is an eclectic collection spanning eight years of the band's existence. Most of this material is unavailable anywhere else, making this a valuable addition to the collection of any Converge fan. The average listener who is unfamiliar with the band, however, would be better off sampling a few tracks from Jane Doe before making any decisions.
