Code Orange Cancel Tour Due to "Serious Health Issues"

"We have been together since we were teenagers, have ridden in vans and slept on floors for the majority of our career. No time period has been as difficult for us as the last few years."

Metalcore pathfinders Code Orange were scheduled to embark on a North American tour starting next month, but they have now announced its cancellation due to "serious health issues" within the band.

The ensemble shared the news on Instagram today, writing, "It pains us deeply to announce that we are cancelling our upcoming headline tour, as well as the ShipRocked cruise / Pulp Summer Slam around it."

They explained that guitarist Dom Landolina has struggled with his health over the past year, resulting in his inability to "play, perform and live comfortably." Landolina "gritted through" Code Orange's performances last fall, but this only exacerbated his issues.

"We wanted to give him proper time to heal before making a group decision, and were very hopeful he would be able to return by February," the outfit wrote. "Ultimately it's been determined that he is unable to play guitar at this time."

They added, "We have been together since we were teenagers, have ridden in vans and slept on floors for the majority of our career. No time period has been as difficult for us as the last few years. We are now focused on regaining our strength. We will be back with more stability and in full force. Thank you for the continued love and respect."

Code Orange also asked that fans support the acts that were supposed to open for them — Teenage Wrist, Spy, Gridiron and Soul Blind — and informed ticketholders that refunds are available at point of purchase.

The band had been slated to make Canadian stops in Toronto and Vancouver. See the full statement from the band below.
