In the very same week that his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow has come under fire for her very Goop-ified eating habits, Coldplay's Chris Martin has admitted to having some dietary idiosyncrasies of his own. And, like with most things, it turns out Bruce Springsteen is responsible.
On the latest episode of the Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend podcast, Martin recalled a life-changing lunch date with the Boss in 2022 that he seems to think guided him home and ignited his bones in some way.
"Well, I don't actually have dinner anymore," the Coldplay frontman told O'Brien. "I stop eating at 4 [p.m.] and I learned that from having lunch with Bruce Springsteen."
"What happened?" the host asked, "You were having lunch with him and he said, 'After this, no more — that's it'?"
"Kind of, yeah. I was lucky enough to go over there to lunch the day after we played Philadelphia last year," the musician explained, recounting doing lunch with Springsteen and his wife, Patti Scialfa. "I was on a really strict diet anyway. But I was like, 'Bruce looks even more in shape than me' and Patti said he's only eating one meal a day. I was like, 'Well, there we go. That's my next challenge.'"
It should be noted that Springsteen is, in fact, not a doctor. What works for some people isn't going to work for others, but the Boss has convinced Martin to join him in having more than just a hungry heart.

On the other hand, Television's Richard Lloyd was recently adamant with Exclaim! that he is not like Bruce Springsteen.
