Childish Gambino Set to Drop 'Awaken, My Love!' LP?

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Nov 7, 2016

Donald Glover has been having a killer year between helming the hip-hop TV series Atlanta and landing the role of Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars flick. Hell, we even got to hear what the dude sounds like rapping over the Stranger Things theme song. Now, though, fans hoping for some totally fresh material from Glover's rap alter-ego Childish Gambino appear to be in luck.

An Amazon listing has popped up proclaiming that a new Gambino album titled Awake, My Love! is due out on December 2. That title and date has been corroborated by a keen Reddit user who noticed a listing for the record on the upcoming releases board at his local F.Y.E. store.

The tracklisting and cover art have yet to be revealed, though Glover did preview new material earlier this year at a series of special live events in Joshua Tree, CA.

Childish Gambino's last studio album arrived with 2013's Because the Internet. He has since released mixtape projects like STN MTN and Kauai, as well as hinting at a full collaborative EP with Chance the Rapper.

Revisit "The Worst Guys" from Because the Internet down below, while we await more information about the upcoming LP.
