America's local band Cheekface have enlisted their friend Jeff Rosenstock's baritone sax chops on their latest single. Don't be fooled by the horns or the checkered Vans single art though — "Flies" is surprisingly not a ska reinvention.
Instead, the track finds Cheekface as they're best known. Rosenstock's buzzy sax emulates a swarm of insects, while the band — as always — find the optimism in squalor. The music video appropriately shows them playing in a room gradually being filled with boxes of flies — watch it below.
"Flies" follows the Sort Of B-side EP, which was a companion to January's It's Sorted.
