Casey Mecija offered up her post-Ohbijou solo offering Psychic Materials last year, and now she's shared a new rendering of one of the tracks from that album.
"Gonna Gun" has been given the remix treatment courtesy of the Katie Stelmanis-led synth-pop project Austra, outfitting the song with extra synth twinkles and pulsating rhythms that suck listeners into an intoxicating spiral of dancefloor-ready sound.
There's more to the remix than just a soundtrack to a fun night out, though; proceeds from the song will be put towards supporting the efforts at Standing Rock. The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe have been protesting the proposed Dakota Access Pipeline since April, garnering attention and support from an array of artists, celebrities and even other Canadian musicians.
