Despite being written during what might be considered a dark time for the band, a resounding positivity runs throughout Cancer Bats' latest studio record, Searching for Zero.
The Toronto outfit's positive energy was on full display during an exclusive in-store appearance at Kops Records celebrating the new LP on the day of its release (March 10). It was here that Exclaim! TV caught a roaring live version of standout album cut "True Zero."
Set up in the back of the store, vocalist Liam Cormier makes the most of the space available to him, thrashing about in-between guttural yells. With the powerful rhythm section of drummer Mike Peters and bassist Jaye R. Schwarzer firing on all cylinders, it was a wonder the records on display were even able to stay on the walls.
