After cancelling their event earlier this month due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Canadian Folk Music Awards have now detailed plans to move their 2020 awards ceremony online.
Organizers have shared that all 20 awards will be presented digitally during an online awards show, set to take place April 4. The awards show will be streamed at 7 p.m. ET through CFMA's Facebook page and website.
A press release notes that the evening's livestream will find bilingual hosts reviewing all CFMA categories and nominees, ahead of announcing award recipients and the winner of the Unsung Hero Award. Hosts will also reveal where the 2021 Canadian Folk Music Awards will take place.
The Canadian Folk Music Awards were slated to take place in Charlottetown on April 3 and 4. You can find a full list of nominees and livestream details at the CFMA website.
