Calgary Folk Music Festival (CFMF) celebrates its 45th anniversary this July 25 to 28 at Prince's Island Park with over 70 artists from across the globe. While the full lineup details are under wraps until April 30, organizers have now shared the names of the first eight acts set to take at least one of the fest's multiple stages in 2024.
English songsmith Ben Howard, Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award-winner Booker T. Jones, alt-country mainstays Cowboy Junkies, Ottawa rising star Leith Ross, Montreal psych explorers TEKE::TEKE, British folkster Billie Marten, buzzy Toronto trio Wild Rivers and indie folk supergroup MOONRIIVR are our first taste of CFMF's programming for this year.
The announcement coincides with a flash sale on tickets. Single-day and weekend passes will be available for purchase from March 19 at 10 a.m. CT until March 22 at midnight via the festival's website.
