Last month, it was reported that recently-freed pop icon Britney Spears had inked a $15 million USD book deal that would ostensibly tell the story of her career and conservatorship through her own lens.
And now, it looks like the Britney machine is continuing to gear up (hopefully on her own terms), as The Sun has reported that Spears's team is "putting feelers out about the prospect of new music."
"Several people who she feels comfortable working with have been contacted and asked if they would like to work on music with Britney again and everyone seems pretty keen to be involved.
"She has been through an incredibly tough few years but deep down she does love making music and performing so to have some new music out there could really help her turn over a new leaf," said an industry insider.
Those who've been contacted reportedly include Claude Kelly, who worked with Spears on 2008's Circus, which included the singles "Womanizer," "If U Seek Amy" and the title track.
Spears released four albums while bound in her conservatorship, but as of 2019 had refused to work on new music in protest of the arrangement.
