The Breezes began their first-ever Toronto show by dedicating a song to the springtime, a charming sentiment that excused a shaky start. The first handful of songs sounded as if they were played by two different bands, likely because the alternating lead singers sounded and performed so differently from one another. The performance wasn't totally disorganized, though -- they did wear matching suits -- and things picked up around the middle as things got more Clash-meets-Beach Boys and less travelling family band. The big and upbeat sounding "Count to 11" was a show highlight, proving that this is a band that works better when everyone's on the same page.
