Adding to Bandcamp's "No Revenue Share Day," boygenius will be releasing a special demos EP for one day only.
The trio — made up of Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus — will release demos from their 2018 EP on Friday (July 3). The tracks include voice-memo recordings of "Stay Down," "Me & My Dog" and "Bite the Hand." The rough cuts were taped during the trio's rehearsal on June 5, 2018 — the day before the group would enter the studio to record their self-titled EP.
The release will benefit three community organizations, each of which was chosen by the three artists. This includes OUTMemphis in Tennessee (Julien Baker), the Downtown Women's Center in Los Angeles (Phoebe Bridgers) and Virginia's Mutual Aid Disaster Relief Richmond (Lucy Dacus).
Earlier this year, boygenius were featured on the debut solo album, Petals for Armor, by Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams.
