As the days grow longer and summer approaches, so too does Ontario's long-running country festival Boots and Hearts — and, with it, a host of the genre's finest crooners and yodellers. After announcing the first wave of performers headlined by Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett and Cody Johnson in December, fest organizers have unveiled the weekend's complete lineup today.
Led by rock stalwarts Matchbox Twenty — who enjoyed a resurgence in popularity last summer thanks to Ryan Gosling's cover of "Push" in Barbie — newly announced performers set to grace the stage from south of the border include Jackson Dean, American Idol winner Chayce Beckham, Alexandra Kay, Dillon James, Redferrin, Bryan Martin and Lauren Watkins.
This year's edition of Boots and Hearts will also highlight several Canadian acts, including Grand Prairie, AB, country outfit Emerson Drive, Saskatchewan's Jess Moskaluke, Buck Twenty, Hunter Brothers, Elyse Saunders, Texas King, Alee, Dayna Reid and more.
"Continuing with the tradition of creating a unique experience for our fans, we are ecstatic to welcome legendary rock band Matchbox Twenty to our stage," the fest's Director of Talent Buying and Business Development, Brooke Dunford, writes in a statement. "We always strive to curate a lineup that delivers electric energy for both fans and artists, and we're confident this year's lineup will do exactly that."
Tickets and camping passes are on sale now at Boots and Hearts's official website, where you can also find complete programming and scheduling information.
