Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have been around for very close to 20 years and in that time, besides just a few fleeting glances, I've never paid them much attention. Quite simply, their flow didn't do it for me. So, nearly two decades in, when their latest album, UNI 5 ― The World's Enemy, found its way to me, I didn't know what to expect. What I found were choruses, lyrics and themes that were quite mundane, such as: "everyone wants to sound like us," "they don't wanna see me shine," "only god can judge me" and so on. However, despite not being a fan of their sound, they do indeed flow well together and deserve credit for that. The production isn't bad either, as they've linked up with DJ U-Neek for many of the tracks; he's a familiar face who has worked with the group extensively throughout their career. Quite simply, no one sounds like these five guys from Cleveland, Ohio, and that is a good thing for both fans and haters alike.
