It's a strange world we're living in where the rising threat of artificial intelligence and now a congressional hearing about the existence of aliens are part of the daily news cycle — especially when Tom DeLonge of blink-182 is involved.

DeLonge, the notoriously alien-obsessed vocalist-guitarist, couldn't contain his excitement yesterday after David Grusch, a former US Air Force officer and intelligence official, affirmed in a congressional hearing that the US possesses "nonhuman biologics" retrieved from a purported aircraft crash.

Grusch disclosed in his testimony that while investigating unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP) for the Pentagon, he learned about a long-running program focused on retrieving and reverse-engineering UAP crashes. He eventually inquired about an aircraft containing "non-human biologics" obtained from one of these incidents.

When asked about whether pilots were recovered from the crash, Grusch said, "Biologics came from some of these recoveries, yeah. Non-human, and that was the assessment of people with direct knowledge on the program I talked to that are currently still on the program."

Upon hearing Grusch's testimony, DeLonge took to social media to post a screenshot that reads, "Tom was right. Aliens f**king exist."

During the hearing, David Fravor, former commanding officer of the US Navy, acknowledged DeLonge's company, To the Stars Academy, for bringing the issue into the public eye.

DeLonge responded to Fravor's shoutout in an Instagram post expressing his pride for his company's achievements, saying, "The UFO Hearings today made history. I am so proud of the three witnesses today that blew the lid off the UFO secrecy that has been intact for decades. Graves, Fravor and Grusch are HEROES."
