Halifax rock and rollers the Black Wedding Band, led by front-man Mark Bragg, brought up the intensity during the closing night of Pop Montreal. The music seemed to send Bragg into epileptic fits, which were strange but entertaining. A Lou Reed look-alike, Bragg commanded from his band a good two hours of music. A smooth mix of classic rock and blues, Bragg and his band were a bit the odd men out on this mostly indie rock show. Nonetheless, the tunes were good and Bragg commands the stage well enough to carry his career much further.
