Ever heard of British doom-core providers Black Tongue? If not, the band have a rather bizarre new claim to fame: frontman Alex Teyen fell out of a moving tour bus after apparently mistaking the outside door for a toilet.
The Telegraph reports that the group were travelling down the highway in Poland en route to Berlin when Teyen attempted to go to the washroom but found it busy. He then opened the bus' exit door and ended up on the road.
He was hospitalized with injuries to the head and face, but apparently he's not seriously hurt. The band administered first aid on the highway, and a passing driver stopped to call emergency services.
Local police spokesman Piotr Kaciak said, "Judging by the manner of the victim's behaviour, speech and smell, we suspect he was under the influence of alcohol."
Teyen's father has apparently gone to Poland to help his son return home to Britain. A family member said, "He is okay, he was quite battered and bruised."
The band announced on Facebook that they have pulled out of their European tour. They are still planning to tour the U.S. in March, however. The dates can be seen here.
