Their Metal Blade debut, Quiet Earth, spawned a year-long wave of touring, but now Vancouver, BC metalheads Bison B.C. have hunkered down to focus on their third LP. And while they haven't yet completed the album, they've definitely got the ball rolling.
Blabbermouth points to an interview with The Obelisk, where Bison B.C.'s James Farwell talked about the new material. "I think it maintains a sound that we have cultivated, our style is definitely there," he said. "There's some faster shit, and some doomier shit, for sure, but we have also dabbled into a little melody, guitar-wise, that is. It's gonna be brutal as fuck. No theme though. It's just a good old-fashioned batch of songs. I think it's gonna be a pretty punk record."
When we spoke to Bison B.C. in 2008, Harwell said that he'd rather work with his friends when it comes to album production. This album will be no different, as the band have once again booked studio time with Vancouver mainstay Jesse Gander at the Hive Creative Labs.
Bison B.C.'s third album is being slated for release in the spring of 2010.
