Big Wreck have returned with details of a new EP. The Ian Thornley-led outfit will release Big Wreck: 7.1 on November 19 through Warner Music Canada.

The five-song Big Wreck: 7.1 marks the first entry in a three-EP series from Big Wreck. It was produced by Thornley and Eric Ratz, who produced the band's 2019 LP …but for the sun.

The explosive "Bombs Away" is the first track to arrive from Big Wreck: 7.1, and as Thornley shares in a statement, it began from a riff that had been around for years.

"It was a riff that Brian (Doherty) brought up during a soundcheck a few years back, and I had all but forgotten about it," he explains. "That riff is what you hear in the intro to the song, and gave birth to the ideas that now shape Bombs Away. The song has a relevance to the landscape of today. And another example of how Brian is still with us, in our songs, and our souls."

Big Wreck have also announced a co-headlining Canadian tour with Monster Truck in support of the EP. Kicking off on release day in Sidney, BC, the 14-date tour also features dates in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. You can find a complete itinerary below.
