Ben Kweller

Changing Horses

The first song off of Ben Kweller's Changing Horses is more than enough to make you take off your jacket and stay for a drink. "Gypsy Rose" kicks things off with a little banjo intro, followed by Kweller's blues-infused folk crooning. It's the kind of porch song you'd be glad to hear on a hot summer's day as you're trudging down that old dirt road. But once you stop to hear Kweller's melancholic twang, you best be ready to dance right along to tracks like the happy-go-lucky "Fight" and the ever-soulful "Sawdust Man." Kweller has an uncanny likeness to Bob Dylan but country idol comparisons aside, Changing Horses is just so damn catchy and fun that there's no doubt this Texas musician will have you singing his songs all the way home.
